Geomembrane testing 

Corona’s artificial smoke machines facilitate commissioning, Quality Assurance and performance testing of geomembranes, gas barriers, covers for liquid and solid storage facilities, odor containment, vapor barrier systems etc.

Corona’s Vapor Barrier Testing  (VBT) system has been purposely designed to facilitate the formal inspection of methane gas membranes at landfill and construction sites in accordance with ASTM D-1434 and other regulations.

The VBT system is comprised of a smoke generator and a complementary booster fan to accelerate the distribution of artificial smoke under the membrane. Smoke can be directed to alternative entry points using flexible ducting.  The persistence of the smoke and its dense appearance provide for a ready identification of any leakage. Within seconds the VBT system can lift a continuous 45,000 square feet liner for an integrity check.

The robust nature of the Corona generators and the small particle composition and dense appearance of the smoke can readily accommodate the unique testing requirements for a broad range of geomembrane applications.
