Spirit with Fan assembly being loaded

The building regulations of a number of States and City Councils require that proper precautions be taken to prevent danger to health and safety when building on contaminated land.

The barriers offer a safe solution for the protection of buildings against methane, radon and carbon dioxide, when installed in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements for installation in new-build properties at ground floor level.

Methane gas can and has resulted in explosions and fire, and steps must be taken to construct new buildings on methane emitting
ground in a manner that controls this hazard and permits
safe discharge of the dangerous gas.

    Injecting smoke underneath the membrane

Methane barrier systems prevent the passage of gas, and it provides a waterproofing system that prevents the
passage of liquid [water] under hydrostatic pressure.

Methane barriers are created across the property floors and walls, and methane gas is prevented from accumulating within the
structure. Any methane gas that rises is forced to discharge
via pipes, which promote emission into the open air
  and away from the building.

Being lighter than air, methane gas will rise to the top of any enclosed space. However, when mixed with other gases
the combination can in fact be heavier than air.
