The Cirrus is a surprisingly versatile fogger. It disperses water and oil diluted chemicals as well as many pure concentrates as a high quality fog of virtually uniform size droplets that can be as small as 0.3 microns. The fogger is compact in design and is easily carried by one individual. It can be located in the center of an enclosed area and operated by tethered remote control so that the operator avoids fog exposure.

Cirrus fog delivers the advantages of uniformly sized small droplets: even and universal distribution, deep penetration, and the shrouding of objects rather than only direct-in-line surface deposition. And the fog provides greater contact area for a given amount of fluid, ensuring enhanced efficacy and greater economy. Learn more about the unique advantages of the fog.

Operating Principles

Fog fluid is mixed with inert gas to create an "aerosol". This mixture is delivered to a heat exchanger where it is turned into vapor. When exiting the heat exchanger and meeting the colder ambient air, the vapor instantly cools and condenses forming an often visible fog.  Heat exchanger temperature setting and fog exit design determine the ultimate uniform droplet size.

Safety

In contrast with other thermal foggers the Cirrus does not employ an open flame to generate an aerosol so that no spontaneous flames can be produced at the nozzle exit. Instead, the fluid is vaporized on its path through an electrically powered heat exchanger. The Cirrus mixes its prime chemical supply with inert gas – CO2 or N – creating a first stage aerosol of liquid droplets enveloped by the gas. This mixture is vaporized in the heat exchanger to emerge as fog that is shielded against flammability before the inert gas dissipates and the fog droplets distribute in the ambient air. For extra protection, all Corona foggers are fitted with a cut-off switch to prevent excessive temperature build-up.

The Cirrus can draw the inert gas from any regular supply. Universally available regular CO2 gas canisters commonly provide the most convenient and flexible solution.

As always, operators should use any fog fluid in accordance with the label instructions and in observance of all applicable operating instructions, safety considerations and regulatory requirements.
