Corona collaborated with
the Boeing Corporation and other experts to
identify modifications to its standard smoke machine to meet the unique
requirements of the aviation industry.
These smoke machines are tailored to operate on board of
aircraft for design, engineering and operating support. The Colt 8.5
is used for airflow assessment and flight crew training.
The
Vicount-Aviator 440SDT supports aircraft lay-out design, safety related
engineering and regulatory
certification (under FAA Protocol AC 25 9A) - producing
as much smoke as required to fill a Boeing 747 aircraft, or as little as the equivalent of smoldering tobacco.
